The old orthoprosthesis had become too small, so Milo got a new one.
Why does Milo need this?
He has a rare malformation on his left leg. This is called Tibial Hemimelia Type II. His tibia is too short, he has no ankle and only two toes on his foot, which he affectionately calls “Lumpy”. This means that he is not able to walk without aids. In the orthoprosthesis, components of a prosthesis and an orthosis are combined. Milo loves his “Lumpi” leg because it allows him to dash just as fast as his kindergarten friends.
