This is Milo, he is three years old and has a rare deformity on his left leg. This is called Tibial Hemimelia Type II. His tibia is too short, he has no ankle and only two toes on his foot, which he affectionately calls “Lumpy”.
This makes it impossible for him to walk without an orthoprosthesis. In an orthoprosthesis, components of a prosthesis are combined with components of an orthosis.
Milo loves his “Lumpi” leg because it allows him to run just as fast as his kindergarten friends.
