How do we make sure that the orthosis really fits you?
An orthosis is a body-hugging aid that supports the mobility and stability of the body and corrects misalignments. It can relieve muscles, joints and bones.
We often make a trial orthosis to test the perfect fit for you. The crystal-clear material allows us to see exactly – once you have put on the trial orthosis – where you need more correction or where pressure points could arise.
This allows us to manufacture the perfect orthosis for you, one that doesn’t pinch and gives you the best possible support.
In this short video you can see how we shape the test material over the previously created plaster cast. By heating the material in a special oven, it becomes malleable and can be pulled precisely over the plaster cast.
