What is actually an orthosis?
An orthosis is an aid close to the body that supports the mobility and stability of the body and corrects malpositions. So it can relieve muscles, joints and bones.
When do I need an orthosis?
They are used for chronic diseases, after injuries or for malpositioning of limbs.
What orthoses are available?
There are orthoses for every part of the body, these are for example: Neck orthoses, orthopedic corsets, hip orthoses, wrist orthoses, night bedding splints, knee orthoses, whole leg orthoses, ankle-foot orthoses, etc.
What do I need to pay attention to?
Orthoses enclose the body part to be supported and must fit very well. Often these tools are
individually custom-made by us as orthopedic technicians.
